The Euroa Arboretum welcomes Cassie Leatham, Cassie is a master weaver with the Victorian Aboriginal Weaving Collective. She uses native grasses in her traditional coil weaving workshops where you will create a unique basket. She can also teach how to weave an armband with pandanas and flax leaves.

About Cassie
Cassie Leatham is from the Taungurung / Wurundjeri people from the Kulin Nation. She is an Indigenous artist, master weaver, traditional dancer, bushtukka woman and educator.

She is extremely passionate about teaching her skills to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students of all ages. Her aim is to give participants the opportunity to learn and understand Aboriginal culture and develop knowledge of both historical and contemporary Aboriginal history. Cassie’s Work
Cassie’s work has been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria, Koorie Heritage Trust Collection, Melbourne Magistrates Court of Victoria and is exhibited nationally and internationally.  Cassie has had numerous solo and collaborative exhibitions, which has seen success overseas also.

General Adult Tickets $50

Ticket prices include 4hr workshop, materials and lunch. Numbers are limited to a maximum of 18 participants.
Please note that we can include dietary requirements for Vegetarian and Gluten Free. Special Dietary requirements must be self-catered.
